Lost and Found

I lost my engagement ring yesterday. I was sitting in the computer lab in the afternoon, twirling my rings, and I suddenly realized, I lost my engagement ring. I instantly knew that it must have fallen off when I was riding my bike. I distinctly remembered twirling around both rings that morning at the computer lab before lunch. Needless to say, the rest of the day/night was not fun. We spent the afternoon walking around in the rain kicking at the grass and piles of dirt to try to find my ring. Scott, Cynthia, and Ed G. were nice and spent some time searching too. I eventually made big "LOST RING, Cash Reward" signs to post around everywhere I'd walked around at Princeton. Unfortunately, the ring wasn't covered by our new Renters' Insurance policy. Not fun. We decided to go play with the Sprawl that evening anyway. I wasn't letting something like losing my ring get in the way of leading a normal life.

This morning, after showering, I looked down, and there it was. Neslted in the bathroom rug was my sapphire ring with two small diamonds. I have no clue how it got there. I'd been in the bathroom the night before. My best guess is that I'd dropped the ring down my bra and it fell out onto the bathroom rug when I was undressing for my shower. Good thing I don't undress myself in odd places or I would've never have found it. Phew!
