Potluck!

I hosted an EPP first year student potluck on Sat. night. While we've seen a lot of each other in class, I felt that we could still bond a bit more socially. There are 15 of us, with over half being female, which I found impressive since the ratio before us was about 19:3 or 6:2, total students to women. A bunch of people came, and it was fun! As a class, most of us have bonded. We have most of the same classes, and spend a lot of time in the office together. We're all in the same big office which houses almost all the first years, and a bunch of 2nd and 3rd years.

I don't know if I ever went to a potluck in college, but they seem to be all the rage here. When I came to find a place to live, I tagged along to a vegan potluck someone was having. It's a very interesting culture here. Many people are doing green engineeering, or environmental engineering, and are just really cool, in general. With that coolness comes the ability to make excellent food.
