Grad School is Busy
I've been too busy to post! Tons of things have been going on. Since that potluck in October, I submitted an application for the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program, I had midterms, I went to DC for a meeting of the American Library Association Advisory Board for the Office of Information Technology Policy (I'm an intern on the committee), and Rich came to visit for a weekend and we hit the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. I went to Chicago for Northwestern University Homecoming and meet up with Julie, Brian, Paulette, Bill Chapin and his girlfriend Jules. I lost my ID at the Hideout that weekend, and I discovered I lost my ID at Midway airport in the security line. It turns out you can get on a plane without ID, they just make you go through special screening. Luckily, someone turned it in, and I got it back. My roommate Cole had a Halloween party that dressed up as Christmas for Halloween. That was the month of October.
In November, there was a convergence of my CMU friends, Northwestern friends, Princeton friends, and Irish music friends in New York City. Paul, Charles, Regina, Jeffrey and I went to see Exit Clov, and I got to set up a group of 16 for dinner at Boca Chica. It's getting to be the end of the semester, and I've got a ton of papers and project due. It'll be a fun month. At least I'm heading to Chicago with Xcott and Charles for the Sharp Thanksgiving in Evanston. Whee!
I know I'm way behind on getting the rest of my digital pics up, but maybe I'll be able to do that over the winter break. Here's one of Regina's pics of me, Jeffrey, Paul, and Charles:
